Card insignia of circular shape; the face with a circular central pale blue medallion bearing a female head facing right, wearing a red laurel-crowned Phrygian bonnet within a gold ring inscribed ‘FRENCH RED CROSS LONDON COMMITTEE’; the reverse plain with pin for wear; diameter 37mm (1,46 inches); slight creases; in original envelope.

The sale of such insignia during ‘Flag Days’ raised funds to support the work of the Red Cross in France and had a positive effect on public morale, proving tremendously popular.
