Miniature circular cupro-nickel medal with ornate scrolled fixed ribbon suspension bar; the face with the crowned head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, circumscribed ‘ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F.D.’ (Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith); the reverse inscribed centrally ‘FOR CAMPAIGN SERVICE’, a Tudor crown above, all within an oak wreath; diameter 18.73mm (0.74 inch); on original ribbon with ‘RADFAN’ silvered clasp mounted loose on the ribbon.

The Medal was instituted in 1964 and awarded for participation in conflicts between 1962 and 2007 where a separate campaign medal was not issued.

The Radfan clasp was awarded for service in that province of the then Federation of South Arabia between 25 April and 31 July 1964 against Radfan tribesmen supported by Yemen and Egypt.

A good period miniature.
