Circular gilt bronze medal with faceted rayed edges, with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with a circular central white enamel medallion bearing the national ‘sovombo’ device in white enamel with columns and symbols representing fire, sun, moon, earth, water and the ‘yin yang’ Taijitu symbol, circumscribed ‘АРДЬІН ХУВЬСГАЛ’ above and dated ‘1921-2001’ below; the reverse plain with geometric hatching; on original triangular metal hanger with red, blue and red enamel panels. The medal was instituted in 2001 to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Red Army over White Russian forces and the abolition of the feudal system. It is not often found.
