Silver ten-pointed rayed star; the face with a silver-gilt flag with five-pointed star upper left, a laurel branch below, a circular central silver medallion imposed of cog-wheel form and bearing a sickle, hammer, shovel and pick; the reverse plain with threaded post and silver screwback with beaded edge and maker’s mark of the then Polish Mint (Mennica Państwowa); diameter 44.38mm (1.75 inches), weight 47.84 grams (1.69 oz). The Order was instituted in three classes and a medal in 1945 to be awarded ‘to workers and institutions distinguished in socialist construction of the country’ (Punonjësve dhe Institucioneve që dallohen në mënyrë të vecantë në ndërtimin socialist të vendit). This is an early example in solid silver made by the Polish Mint (Mennica Państwowa). In ‘Medaljet Shqiptare’, Artan Lame states that fewer than one hundred examples were made and ranks it ‘R5’. A superb example of very rare Order.
