Circular bronze medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with the logo of the Royal Life Saving Society within a ring inscribed ‘QUEMCUNQUE MISEUM VIDERIS HOMINEM SCIAS’ (Latin = whosoever you see in distress, recognise him as a fellow man); the reverse engraved with the attribution ‘M SINGLETON / 05 94’. The medallion is awarded for knowledge, skill and judgement in lifesaving. The Life Saving Society was founded in 1891 with the purpose of safeguarding lives in, on and near water.
