Circular white metal medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with the Finnish national arms above two ears of corn and inscribed ‘SUOMEN TALOUSSEURA’ (Finnish Society of Economics); the reverse with a crowned Finnish shield bearing the monogram ‘AM’ above twin cornucopia, a staff of Aesculapius (symbolic of medicine) and another symbol representing agriculture below and inscribed ‘TAITO JA TOIMI’ (Knowledge and employment); on replaced ribbon.

The Finnish Society of Economics was founded in 1797 and has had a strong impact on Finnish financial policies, as well as promoting the development of medicine and agriculture.
