The ribbon was for wartime awards of the following: Imperial Order of Franz Joseph (Kaiserlich Franz-Joseph-Orden), the Gold, Silver and Iron Cross of Merit (Goldenes, Silbernes und Eisernes Verdienstkreuz), the Cross of Military Merit (Militärverdienstkreuz), the Medal for Military Merit ‘Signum Laudis’ (Militärverdienstmedaille ‘Signum Laudis’) and the Bravery Medals (Tapferkeitsmedaillen).
