Light blue enamel Maltese cross with green and red painted laurel wreath between the arms, with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with a circular central white enamel medallion bearing the five stars of Honduras in silver below a pair of wings, within a silvered ring inscribed ‘FUERZA AEREA HONDURAS’ (Honduras Air Force) all imposed on a four-bladed propeller; the reverse plain with maker’s mark ‘N.S. MEYER, INC NEW YORK’; on original ribbon with top buckle mounted for wear; in original fitted embossed case of issue by N. S. Meyer Inc. of New York. The award was instituted on 19 August 1955 and amended on 10 October 1969 and 26 August 1977 and is the highest honour of the Honduran Air Force. It was made by the now-defunct firm of N.S. Meyer of New York. The decoration is not often seen.
