Circular silver medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with a seated female figure in traditional Serb dress weavig before a fireplace with a suspended pot, a lamp above a cradle to the right, inscribed above ‘ДОМАЋИЧКА ШКОЛА ЗАДУЖБИНЕ НИКОЛЕ СПАСИЋА’ (Domestic School Foundation of Nikola Spasić); the reverse with the engraved attribution ‘ЖИВКА Ж МИХАЈЛОВИЋ’ (Živka Ž Mihajlović) and hallmark/maker’s mark ‘KS’; on replaced ribbon. Nikola Spasić (1838-1916) was a great merchant and benefactor of the Serb people. He built four historic buildings on Knez-Mihailova Street in Belgrade and left them, a significant art collection and funds for a charitable foundation to the Serb nation. The Foundation created and supported orphanages and schools for the under-privileged.
