Circular silver medal with loop for suspension; the face with the royal arms of Cambodia encircled by the name of the sovereign in Khmer; the reverse inscribed ‘SISOWATH 1er ROI DU CAMBODGE (Sisowath I King of Cambodia), radiant suns above and below, encircled by a wreath of oak and laurel; the suspension ring mainly missing, the royal crown suspension missing, age oxidisation and wear marks; lacking ribbon. The Medal was instituted by King Norodom I (1860-1904) to reward service to the throne and in commemoration of the sovereign. King Sisowath I reigned from 1904 until 1927.
