Circular silver medal on double kukri swivel ribbon suspension bar; the face with the Royal Headdress centrally, the crescent moon and radiant sun to the left and right, above an inscription in Nepali characters with symbols of royal power, all within a geometric floral border; the reverse with crossed kukri and sword imposed on the royal standard, an inscription and the date ‘2013’ below, all within a geometric border; on original ribbon. The medal was instituted in 1956 to mark the coronation of King Mahendra (1920-1972) as King of Nepal in 1955. An excellent example.
