Five-pointed rayed silver star with circular silver laurel wreath imposed on the arms and with large circular central silver gilt medallion with five gilt torches with red enamel flames, with red enamel five-pointed star above, within a white enamel ring with gilt five-pointed stars; the reverse plain with hallmark, numbered ‘57612’, with screwback with maker’s mark ‘IKOM ZAGREB’. The Order was created on 15 August 1943, to be awarded for the creation and promotion of brotherhood and unity at a time when Yugoslavia was occupied by German forces and resistance was divided by politics, nationality and other factors. A very good example.
