Circular gilt metal medal on scroll and ribbon bar suspension; the face with the logo of the Ambulance Service Association centrally, circumscribed ‘AMBULANCE SERVICE ASSOCIATION • ’; the reverse inscribed ‘FOR SERVICE’ within a laurel wreath border; on original ribbon mounted for wear; in original fitted embossed Toye, Kenning & Spencer Limited case of issue, the logo of the Ambulance Service Association in gilt on the lid, the Royal Warrant and Toye, Kenning & Spencer Limited, London name in gilt on the inside of the lid. The medal is awarded for 20 years’ service in one of the ambulance services represented by the A.S.A.. The Ambulance Service Association was established in 1994 and represents all thirty-four National Health Service ambulance services in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and also the public ambulance services of Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar. The medal is rarely found.
