Circular gilt metal and red, white, blue and green enamel badge surmounted by a Tudor crown, a scroll at the base; the face with a circular central stippled gilt medallion bearing a white enamel shield with a red enamel Geneva cross centrally, within a green enamel laurel wreath, all within a gilt-edged deep blue enamel ring inscribed in gilt letters ‘BRITISH RED CROSS SOCIETY’, the scroll at the base inscribed in gilt letters ‘FOR 10 YEARS SERVICE’ on a white enamel ground; the reverse plain, the pin for wear now absent, engraved ‘2026 / A. TAYLOR’ and with maker’s mark of J.R. Gaunt of London; height 38.95mm (1.53 inches). The badge was instituted in 1922 and discontinued in 1955.
