Oval gilt bronze medal in the form of a wreath of oak and laurel with a bow at the base, with swivel crown suspension; the face with the cipher of King Carol; the reverse with the Roman numerals ‘XXV’ (25); slight rubbing and age discoloration; on original ribbon with original fittings. The award was instituted on 5 July 1872 and bestowed on officers for 25 years of distinguished service. A very good original example.
