Circular gilt metal medal with crossed swords and swivel crown suspension; the face with Romania’s post-1921 coat of arms; the reverse inscribed ‘SERVICIU CREDINCIOS’ within a laurel and oak wreath; on original ribbon. The medal was instituted on 8 April 1880 to be awarded for long and meritorious service by military and civilians, both Romanians and others. The ‘war’ variant for military, as in this example, was introduced in 1938 and awarded until 1947 for military services to both Romanians and members of the Axis forces.
