Circular gilt bronze medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with a linden-crowned female head representative of the Czechoslovak Republic facing left, circumscribed ‘ZA VĚRNOST’ (For loyalty) and dated ‘1939-1945’; the reverse inscribed ‘NA PAMĚŤ DRUHÉHO NÁRODNÍHO ODBOJE’ (In commemoration of the Second National Uprising) above a spray of laurel; some age-oxidisation and wear to gilding; on possibly replaced but correct ribbon. The medal was instituted on 14 May 1946 and awarded to those who had resisted the German occupation forces during World War II.
