Circular silver medal with loop and linden leaf wreath suspension with ‘925’ silver hallmark and maker’s marks to the reverse; the face with a laurel branch and ribbon inscribed ‘ZA PRACOVNI VERNOST’ (for loyal work) imposed on a standard (presumably a red flag); the reverse with the arms of Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, being the two-tailed lion of Bohemia with a five-pointed star above, linden leaves to either side, inscribed ‘ČSSR’ (Czechoslovak Socialist Republic) below, ‘925’ silver hallmark and maker’s marks; on original ribbon mounted for wear. The medal was instituted in 1955 and awarded for conscientious work. It was suppressed in 1990. The medal was probably made by Žukov of Prague and is typical of the high quality of socialist Czechoslovak awards. The medal is not often found.
