Circular bronze medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with the standing figures of Red Army soldiers, their rifles raised in salute, the foremost holding a bunch of flowers, dated ‘1945 · 1985’ below; the reverse inscribed ‘ČTYŘICÁTÉ VÝROČÍ OSVOBOZENÍ ČESKOSLOVENSKA SOVĔTSKOU ARMÁDOU’ Anniversary of the liberation of Czechoslovakia by the Soviet Army) below a five-pointed star; slight age oxidisation and a discoloration to the lower right of the reverse; on original ribbon mounted for wear. The medal was the last in a series of medals issued every 10 years to commemorate the liberation of Czechoslovakia from German occupation in 1945.
