Large circular bronze medal with integral Jordanian crown and ring suspension; the face with the full-face head and shoulders portrait of King Hussein wearing a traditional keffiyeh, inscribed in Arabic above ‘Day of Accession to the Throne’ and ‘Twenty-fifth Anniversary’ below; the reverse with the arms of the Jordanian armed forces, being an eagle perched on crossed curved swords surmounted by the Royal Jordanian crown, all within a circular laurel wreath, dated ‘???? ????’ (1952-1977) above; diameter 40.14mm (1.58 inch); on a correct paper representation of the ribbon. The medal was instituted on 11 August 1977 in silver and bronze versions by King Hussein to mark the 25th anniversary of his reign and awarded to then serving members of the armed forces.
