Circular silvered bronze medal with laterally pierced ball for ribbon suspension; the face with a female head representing the Portuguese Republic, circumscribed ‘REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA’; the reverse with an angel blowing a trumpet and holding a laurel branch in her left hand, inscribed to the right ‘MEDALHA / MILITAR / COMPORTAMENTO / EXEMPLAR / 1910’ (Military Medal for Exemplary Conduct 1910) to the right; on replaced correct ribbon with original silvered buckle bar; in original rare pasteboard case of issue by Frederico Costa of Lisbon, two corners of the lower part of the box now split. The medal was created in 1910 and awarded for distinguished long military service of exemplary good conduct, discipline and loyalty.
