Miniature five-pointed silvered star with ball-tipped gilt finials, with eyelet and ribbon bar suspension; the face with a circular central gilt-edged white enamel medallion bearing the gold and enamel arms of Chile; the reverse plain; age-toned; width 15.04mm (0.59 inch); on original ribbon with pasador top bar mounted for wear.
The Star was instituted in 1935 and awarded to naval officers on completion of 10 years blameless service.
