Circular miniature silver medal with integral crown suspension; the face with the head of King Gustaf VI Adolf looking left and circumscribed ‘GUSTAF VI ADOLF SVERIGES KONUNG (Gustaf VI Adolf, King of Sweden); the reverse with a Greek cross with rays between the arms bearing the letters ‘SLK’ and circumscribed ‘SVERIGES LOTTAKǺRER RIKSFÖRBUNDET’; maker's mark 'S&Co' (for Sporrong & Co.), Köping assay office mark, the three crowns of Sweden and 'S' silver control stamps and date-stamped 'R9' (1967); diameter 17mm (⅝ inch); on original ribbon. The Sveriges Lottakårer Riksförbundet (Swedish Women's Voluntary Defence Service) was founded in 1924 and is an auxiliary service of the Hemvärnet (Home Guard) and an integrated unit of the Försvarsmakten (Swedish Armed Forces).
