Miniature circular gilt bronze medal with integral Crown of St Stephen suspension; the face with the cross of St Stephen upon a crown and three hills from the Hungarian coat of arms encircled by a laurel wreath; the reverse inscribed ‘SIGNUM / LAUDIS’ (A sign of praise) and dated ‘1922’ within a circular laurel wreath; height 22.31mm (0.88 inch); without ribbon. The Medal was established in June 1923 and was identical for military and civilians, awards to civilians having a plain green ribbon and military green with white and red edge stripes. The Medal was suppressed on 14 February 1945. The Medal is quite rare in miniature. A very fine example.
