Miniature circular gilt medal with twelve medallions around the edge, with eyelet and ribbon bar suspension; the face with a raised central medallion with five lines of six, seven, six, five and four dots respectively, the twelve medallion around the edge each bearing the official emblem of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in green enamel, being a date palm above crossed swords, on a cream enamel ground; the reverse stippled, plain; diameter 17.31mm (0.68 inch); on original ribbon brooch-mounted for wear. The medal was instituted in 1991 to be awarded to members of the armed forces for participated in combat. It could also be awarded to non-Saudi forces.
