Miniature circular bronze medal on fixed ribbon bar suspension with scales of justice denoting a police award; the face with the full-face head of an African lion; the reverse with the arms of Zimbabwe; diameter 16.18mm (0.64 inch); on original ribbon. The Medal was instituted in October 1980 to be awarded to police officers for acts of bravery, commendable actions or devotion to duty.
