Miniature decagonal (ten-sided) bronze medal on fixed ribbon bar decorated with zigzag pattern; the face with the Roman numeral ‘X’ (=10) centrally within a circular laurel wreath, circumscribed ‘ZIMBABWE’ above and ‘FOR SERVICE’ below; the reverse with a circular wreath of flame lilies; diameter 16.56mm (0.65 inch); without ribbon. The Medal was instituted in October 1980 to be awarded for ten years’ military service.
