Miniature white metal five-pointed star imposed on a circular laurel wreath, with ring for ribbon suspension; the face with a Zimbabwe bird imposed centrally; the reverse plain; diameter 19.51 mm (0. 77 inch); on original military division ribbon. The Order was instituted in1981 in five grades in civil and military divisions to be awarded to both Zimbabweans and other nationals to recognise ‘eminent achievement and for services to Zimbabwe or humanity in general’. The Order is not often found.
