Miniature oval silvered metal medal on fixed ribbon bar suspension with scales of justice denoting a police award; the face with the escutcheon from the arms of Zimbabwe centrally, circumscribed below ‘FOR EFFICIENT SERVICE’, laurel leaves to either side above; the reverse plain; diameter 16.46mm (0.65 inch); on original ribbon for Police Auxiliaries. The Medal is awarded for fifteen years’ exemplary service in the Police Auxiliaries. Versions of the Medal exist for the Police and Prison Services and the Army and Air Force, distinguished by the symbol on the suspension bar and, in the case of the Police, for full-time, reserves and auxiliaries, distinguished by three, two and one (as in this case) ribbon side stripes. The Medal is not often found.
