Miniature circular cupro-nickel medal with clip and ribbon bar suspension; the face with the head of Cecil Rhodes; the reverse with the arms of Rhodesia; diameter 17.85mm (0.7 inch); slight surface wear; on original ribbon.
The Medal was instituted in 1968 and awarded to members of the Rhodesian security forces and British South Africa Police for active operational service.
It was suppressed in 1980.
