The 1924 book by René Mathis was printed in small numbers and rapidly sold out. This version from 1982 contains supplementary information and improved illustrations. It too has long been sold out and is hard to find.
The book includes chapters on the awards of the Allies of 1914, the Allies of 1915-1917, all the States of the German Empire, the Post-War States, the Victory Medal, Unofficial Medals and Souvenirs of the Great War.
