Circular bronze medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with the crest of the Society centrally, circumscribed ‘ROYAL AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY OF ENGLAND’; the reverse with oak leaves and acorns, circumscribed ‘FOR LONG SERVICE’; attributed on the edge to ‘HENRY W. INGRAM 45 YEARS’ SERVICE’; on original ribbon, metal polish reside lower right, with decorated top bar, the pin for wear now absent; in original fitted embossed case of issue by John Pinches, London, the case with some surface wear.
The Medal is presented to employees of members of the Royal Agricultural Society of England for service of not less than 40 years either with one employer or on the same holding with different employers.
This example dates from before the medallists John Pinches became a Limited Company in 1940.
