Circular silvered metal medal on double kukri and ribbon bar suspension; the face with a double-triangle six-pointed star, an upright sword imposed, above crossed kukri, a Nepali inscription below; the reverse inscribed in Nepali and dated ‘2023’ below (V.S. 2023 = A.D. 1966); on original ribbon. The medal was instituted on 25 December 1966 by King Mahendra and awarded for two years’ service as aide-de-camp to the King. The medal is no longer awarded, the Nepalese monarchy having been abolished in June 2008, and is rare.
