Circular bronze medal with claw and fixed ribbon bar suspension; the face with a map of the administrative divisions of Nepal, the Royal Headdress above, inscribed ‘Janapad Sevā Padak’ in Nepali script below; the reverse dated ‘2023’ centrally (B.S. 2023 = A.D. 1966), with a Nepali circumscription; on original ribbon. The medal was instituted on 25 December 1966 by King Mahendra and awarded to civilians for 15 years’ long service and good conduct. Following the abolition of the Nepalese monarchy in June 2008, the Medal is no longer awarded and is not often found.
