Circular gilt metal medal with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with a circular central cream-coloured enamel medallion bearing the cream-coloured and red enamel logo of the Trieste Partisan Choir based on the Slovenian national arms with Mount Triglav, circumscribed in gilt letters ‘TRZASKI PARTIZANSKI PEVSKI ZBOR – CORO PARTIGIANO TRIESTINO’ (= Trieste Partisan Choir in Slovenian and Italian languages) all within a laurel leaf border; the reverse with a central rectangular plaque on a stippled ground and with maker’s mark of Jerasa of Ljubjlana; without ribbon.

The Trieste Partisan Choir was founded in 1972 in Bazovica/Basovizza near Trieste on the initiative of former partisans.

The main mission of the Choir is ‘to keep alive the tradition of the National Liberation War and resistance movement, to preserve partisan songs and transmit ideals of peace, brotherhood, unity, camaraderie, tolerance, equality of nations and acceptance of diversity in a world without borders’.

The Choir has members from both Slovenia and Italy and its repertoire includes revolutionary works and folk songs performed in various languages.
