Rectangular bronze plaque with sloping top and eyelet and ring for ribbon suspension; the face with the full-length figure of an infantryman ascending a step from right to left, the step inscribed with the Regimantal battle honours ‘ANVERS / YSER / BEERST- / BLOOTE / MOORSLEDE’, a flag beyond with the same honours; the reverse with a plaque inscribed ‘FRATERNELLE / DU 6e REGIMENT / CHASSEURS / A PIED / 1914 1918’ the hilt of a sword with the Belgian lion above, a crowned shield below beariing the numeral ‘6’ with laurel spray to either side, inscribed at the base ‘25e ANNIVERSAIRE / 1929-1954’, a border of oak leaves to the left and of laurel leaves to the right;  height 49.43mm (1.94 inches).

The 6th Chasseurs à Pied Regiment was formed in August 1914 from the 3rd Chasseurs in garrison in Tournai and received its colours on 6 August between Namur and Eghezée.  It suffered heavy losses during the German offensive and was disbanded in mid-October, being reabsorbed into the 3rd Chasseurs.  It was subsequently re-formed on 20 December 1916.   

In addition to the battle honours mentioned above, the Regiment also received the Fourragère of the Order of Leopold.

The Regiment was disbanded on 29 October 1923and the Assoctaition formed some five years later.

In September 1939 the Regiment was re-formed and fought in the campaign of May 1940.  Finally, in the early 1980s it became a tactical element of the 5th Provincial Regiment.
