Circular gilt metal medal with laterally-pierced ball for ribbon suspension; the face with a radiant map of the United Arab Emirates, the emblem of the U.A.E. lower left in gilt and red, black, white and green enamel; the reverse with an inscription and date in Arabic; on original ribbon with brooch bar mounted with pin for wear. The Medal was instituted in 1991 to be awarded to members of the armed forces of the U.A.E. who took part in the liberation of Kuwait. The medal was issued in very limited numbers. A superb example in mint condition.
