Circular silver medal with partial oak leaf border and with original triangulat loop for ribbon suspension with indistinct maker's mark; the face with the insignia of the Order of the Three Stars of a Maltese cross with ball-tipped finials, rays between the arms and a circular central medallion bearing three stars; the reverse inscribed ‘PAR TEVIJU’ (For the Fatherland) above a flaming heart; silver ‘875’ hallmarked lower right on the rim within the oak leaf border; on replaced correct ribbon.

The Order was founded in 1924 and was awarded in recognition of outstanding civil merit in the service of Latvia. It was suppressed after the Soviet invasion of 1940 but restored after Latvia regained its independence in 1991.

This example dates from the 1924-1940 period.
