Gilt metal six-pointed star comprised of two interlocking triangles with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with an upright sword imposed centrally; the reverse solid with crossed kukri centrally, a Nepalese inscription engraved below; on original ribbon. The Decoration was instituted in 1968 (BS2024) in three classes to be awarded to those charged with guarding the Royal Palace and the Royal Family. Following the abolition of the Nepalese monarchy in June 2008, the Decoration is no longer awarded and is rare.
